Wedding Wednesday: Vows in the Vineyard
Happy Wedding Wednesday from Casablanca Bridal! Today's featured Casablanca Bride brings us a classically romantic love story set in the earthy and organic setting of the Debarge Vineyard and Winery in Georgia.
When it came to finding the bridal look of her dreams, Lynsay's yes-to-the-dress moment was an unexpected moment of magic.
"I was lucky to have found my dress at my first appointment. I did not have a particular dress in mind but knew I wanted some details of lace and maybe some beading. I tried to be very open-minded and tried on every dress my consultant brought to my fitting room."
"I tried on probably 25 to 30 dresses... no one tells you how exhausting dress trying on is! As my appointment was coming to a close, I told my consultant that I didnΓÇÖt feel like I would be one of those brides that had a ΓÇ£momentΓÇ¥ with a dress. I thought I would just have to pick the dress I liked the most out of all the ones I tried on. She then told me she would be right back."
The consultant would return with the lovely, lacy Style 2072. "When she came back and started to unzip the dress bag, I smiled when I saw the detail of the dress. As I was stepping into it and my consultant was zipping me up in the back, tears started to roll down my face as I looked at myself in the mirror. It was so crazy! There really wasnΓÇÖt any emotion that produced the tears! I immediately knew that was the dress. I never had a picture of what I wanted to look like in my mind on my wedding day, but I saw it in the mirror that day. I came out of the dressing room crying and my family was shocked I had that reaction! I told them this is it! My mom was shocked that I had found the dress so easily. As picky as I am, she thought dress selection would be a long stressful road (as did I)."
"As I was standing in the dress, another family was sitting waiting for their daughter to come out to show her selected dresses. The mother mouthed to me 'ThatΓÇÖs the dress!' Even a woman I had never met saw me in it and just as soon knew it was mine!"
Lynsay topped off her classic bridal look with a cathedral length veil, detailed with a scalloped edge for a touch of old Spanish romance.
Martin popped the big question at Lynsay's parents' house on Thanksgiving. "He got down on one knee in front of my family and proposed. It was so very special to be able to share that moment with my family and I knew they were grateful for the shared memory as well."
The star-crossed lovers later learned that they had only lived around 30 minutes away from each other before meeting and falling in love. With a bit of fate and faith, the two would cross paths and have been inseparable ever since.
Lynsay's vineyard wedding details included the charming color combination of rose pink and red, offset by a classy oxford blue, worn by the groom.
When asked what her favorite part of her newly beloved husband is, Lynsay amorously admits she adores him for his heart attitude. As for her favorite wedding moment, Lynsay shares a bit about her first look with Martin. "All the nerves and anxiety of the day went away as soon as I was able to see Martin and just like that, knew we were both ready to go!"
